LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Tommy Houston arrested two individuals on Friday morning October 27, 2023 at approximately 10:14 AM.
The arrests occurred at a business off E. Cumberland Gap Pkwy. approximately 10 miles South of London after Deputy Houston was dispatched to a trespass complaint there.
Upon arrival at the scene, Deputy Houston learned from staff at the business there, that two individuals had barricaded themselves inside a building on the business property.
Deputy Houston was able to get the two individuals to exit the building and arrested them.
The two arrested individuals were identified as James Taylor, JR age 54 and Shawna Gilbert age 37 of London, KY.

Both subjects were charged with:
- Criminal trespassing – third-degree
These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
