LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Byron Grimes arrested Michael Holt age 37 of East Bernstadt on Wednesday night November 1, 2023 at approximately 10:25 PM.
The arrest occurred at Apeyard Market off Highway 490, approximately 5 miles north of London after Deputy Grimes was dispatched to a burglary in progress there.
Upon arrival at the scene deputy Grimes encountered a store employee and the suspect, Michael Holt.
Deputy Grimes noted observing that the front door had been kicked and the glass shattered.
An investigation was conducted where it was learned that allegedly the suspect had attempted to rob the ATM machine.
Michael Holt was charged with:
- Robbery – second-degree
- Criminal mischief – second-degree
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
