RISHMOND, KY - MPD Chief Jeff Couch congratulates MPD Officer David B. Gibbs for graduating the DOCJT police academy in Richmond, Kentucky on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
Officer Gibbs received several awards including the top academic award and distinguished recruit.
Gibbs' great Uncle Charlie "Thumb" Davidson was also present at the graduation Thursday.
Mr. Davidson graduated the DOCJT academy in 1962 and worked for the Manchester Police Department.
