ESCAPED MURDER SUSPECT CAPTURED IN EVANSVILLE, INDIANA EXTRADITED BACK TO PULASKI COUNTY, KENTUCKY

SOMERSET, KY - According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Bobby Jones is reporting the extradition of murder suspect Austin R. Prather from Indiana back to Pulaski County.

Austin Prather Jeep 200Prather was arrested in Evansville, IN on November 8th, 2023 and lodged in the Vanderburgh County Jail awaiting extradition.

In the December, 2023 Grand Jury session, Prather was indicted for:

  • Two counts of Murder
  • One count of Attempted Murder
  • Three counts of Robbery 1st Degree
  • One count of Tampering with Physical Evidence

This individual is currently lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

On December 7th, 2023, Detectives Ryan Jones and Branson Patterson went to Evansville, IN and transported Prather back to Pulaski County. Prather was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
