RICHMOND, KY - The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is cautioning citizens about ongoing phone scams within the Madison County community during this holiday season.
The current phone scammer(s) claim to be a Lieutenant with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, ask for money and then threaten arrest if the amount is not paid.
It is NOT the practice of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to make phone calls in reference to arrest warrants or ask for money.
