SPEED VIOLATION IN PULASKI COUNTY RESULTS IN DRUG ARREST OF A BRONSTON, KENTUCKY MAN

SOMERSET, KY - According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, on Monday afternoon January 8, 2024, Sheriff Bobby Jones reported that on Thursday, December 21, 2023, a Bronston man was in custody following a traffic stop.

The incident began when Detectives with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division were conducting interdiction in the Tateville area of Pulaski County.

While conducting surveillance, Detective Tan Hudson observed a Nissan Altima driving above the posted speed limit. Detective Hudson conducted a stop of the vehicle on Keno Road. Detective Trent Massey arrived on scene to assist with the stop.

Upon stopping the vehicle Detectives gained consent to search from the driver, identified as Shannon Wagner, age 47, of Bronston, KY.

During the search of the vehicle, Detectives located a bag containing 15.2 grams of suspected Methamphetamine and 10.6 grams of suspected Marijuana.

Shannon Wagner was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Speeding 15 MPH over limit
  • Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Marijuana

This individual was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
