DUI THIRD OFFENSE AT TWO VEHICLE HEAD-ON INJURY CRASH IN LAUREL COUNTY, KENTUCKY

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriffs Deputy Bobby Roberts charged Amy Hammock age 47 of London with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence Third Offense.

Amy Hammock was also charged with:

  • Assault — Degree
  • Wanton endangerment — First-Degree
  • Driving on a DUI suspended license — Second Offense

The charges were the result of an investigation conducted by Deputy Roberts after he was dispatched to a two vehicle head-on traffic crash with injuries on East Laurel Rd., approximately 6 miles east of London on Saturday afternoon February 3, 2024 at approximately 3:40 PM.

Deputy Roberts reports that Amy Hammock was allegedly driving a white colored Chevrolet Impala and that his investigation has determined that she was traveling at a high rate of speed, traveling into the opposing lane and striking another vehicle head-on causing the driver of the other vehicle to receive injuries.

Deputy Roberts noted that Amy hammock was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries and was assigned a court date for February 23, 2024 in Laurel District Court.

Bush Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County assisted at the scene of the crash.
