Knox Co KY Star 200The caller is impersonating a police officer and is telling would-be victims they have not satisfied the requirements of a subpoena.

The supposed "officer" further states the victim has an active warrant for their arrest, but if they meet the officer they can pay a bond instead of going to jail.

  • Always verify you are speaking to a legitimate organization
  • Resist the pressure to act immediately
  • Never pay someone who insists you pay with a gift card or by using a money transfer service
