Theft Arrests of a Middlesboro, Kentucky Woman and Man in Laurel County, the Male was also Charged on a Warrant

LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Matt Walker along with Deputy Tommy Houston and shift Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested two individuals at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County on Friday afternoon April 12, 2024 at approximately 2:42 PM.

LSO logo Blackand Gold 200The arrests occurred after Walmart's loss prevention team allegedly observed the two pass the last point of sale without paying for items.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation and learned that the two individuals had allegedly taken items from the store valued at $519.16.

Both were arrested and identified as: Jennifer Amonett age 53 of Middlesboro, KY and Charles Bramble Age 51 of Middlesboro, KY.

Jennifer Amonett was charged with:

  • Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting – $500 or more but under $1000

Charles Bramble was charged with:

  • Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting – $500 or more but under $1000

In addition this subject was charged on a Bell District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of:

  • Theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
