Online Transfer Madness is still on for Wednesday; campus closings will not affect schedule

Transfer Madness, the state’s fully online college fair for prospective transfer students, is still on for Wednesday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. EST. current campus closings will not affect the schedule.

Students looking to transfer college credits or associate degrees can register early

at http://transfermadness.org. More than 300 have pre-registered.

Transfer Madness connects students from the 16 colleges of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System to advisors from more than 20 four-year institutions.

Students can get their questions answered, chat live with admissions representatives and transfer advisors at the universities of their choice, download e-brochures, learn about scholarships, and see how their courses will transfer.

Participants are also eligible for prizes such as gift cards, electronics and transfer scholarships.

The event is open to high school students so they can learn how to plan their transfer experience if they want to begin their education at a community college.

Governor Steve Beshear declared March 5, 2014, as Transfer Madness Day in Kentucky at a press conference last week.
