(Hickory, KY ) - Kentucky State Police reported that while working traffic enforcement in Lyon county, Senior Trooper T. J. Williams observed a driver in violation of the use of a communication device.
A probable cause search was conducted on the vehicle and the following was located, crystal methamphetamine, 5 pounds of powder Ketamine, colipin pills, marijuana, scales, hash and other items of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Daniel Hoyt was taken into custody and has been charged with possession of marijuana, possess of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in controlled substance 2nd degree 1st offense, possession controlled substance 3rd degree, communication device violation, prescription not in proper container 1st offense.
He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. Trooper Williams was assisted on scene by CVE Officer Michael Sandbrink.
