KSP Post 11 Troopers are Honored at State Wide Awards Ceremony

(LONDON, KY.) – On Wednesday, May 14, 2014 four (4) Troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London were honored at a state wide awards ceremony held at the Frankfort Convention Center.

The Citation for Meritorious Service with “V” Device for Valor, bestowed on officers of the agency who distinguish themselves by an act of courage performed under more than ordinary circumstances, was presented to KSP SGT Steve Smallwood.

The Life Saving Medal, awarded to officers who perform life-saving acts under extraordinary circumstances, was presented to KSP SGT Steve Smallwood.

The KSP Citation for Bravery, an honor bestowed on officers of the agency who perform acts of bravery, without regard for personal risk, of clear and obvious peril and clearly above and beyond the call or risk of ordinary duty, was presented to Trooper William Cowan.

Kentucky State Police Post 11 Detective of the Year was awarded to Detective Charles Senters.

Kentucky State Police Post 11 Trooper of the Year was awarded to Trooper First Class David Reed.
