(BUTLER, Ky.)— A Pendleton County man was arrested on charges related to child pornography Thursday after Kentucky State Police served a search warrant at his home.
Gary Neil Pollard, 30, is charged with one count of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and 16 counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. He was lodged in the Boone County Jail.
Pollard was arrested as the result of an ongoing undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives with the KSP Electronic Crime Branch began investigating after they discovered a suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Pollard’s residence in Butler on Thursday, May 29, 2014, by the KSP Electronic Crime Branch. Troopers from Post 6 in Dry Ridge assisted on scene. Equipment used to distribute and possess child pornography was seized and taken to KSP’s Forensic Laboratory for examination.
