Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Sgt. Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Jamie Grimes investigated a two vehicle injury traffic crash which occurred on Keavy Road, approximately 3 miles south of London on Thursday evening February 5, 2015 at approximately 6:35 P.M.
The investigating officer reports that a white colored Chevrolet Silverado apparently pulled out from Philpot Road in the path of a silver colored Chrysler Town & Country minivan that was traveling northbound on Keavy Road, and the two vehicles collided.
Occupants in the white colored Chevrolet Silverado included the driver James Canady age 82 of London - uninjured and passenger Geraldine Canady age 82 of London - injured and airlifted to UK from the scene by helicopter.
Occupants in the silver colored Chrysler Town & Country minivan were the driver David Wilson age 53 of London - uninjured, passenger - Edwina Wilson age 49 -injured & transported to Baptist healthcare hospital Corbin and a 14-year-old male juvenile - uninjured.
Assisting at the scene was Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, London Laurel rescue squad, and Laurel County Fire Department.
Investigation is continuing.
