Investigators - Drugs may have also played a role in the death / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. - According to a published WYMT News report, Sheriff's Deputies believe a woman found dead Tuesday afternoon in Clay County may have suffered from hypothermia.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office told WYMT News that Traci Beth Alvey, 34, was reported missing on Monday and that investigators found Alvey's body Tuesday afternoon along Wagon Fork Road.

An autopsy has been scheduled.

"It appeared that she tried to stay warm. She had covered herself up with some clothing and cold items that she had with her," Sheriff Kevin Johnson explained.

Investigators also think drugs may have also played a role in the death.
