Graham, KY (Muhlenberg County) - An ongoing drug investigation conducted by multiple agencies, including the Kentucky State Police, the Madisonville Police Department, the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department, the FBI, and the DEA, led to a large-scale drug seizure and the arrest of a Muhlenberg County man.
On Tuesday, February 24, at approximately 2:59 p.m., the cooperating agencies conducted a traffic stop on a 1994 Mazda pickup truck operated by Kenneth E. Copley, 60, of Greenville, KY, on the Western Kentucky Parkway. During the traffic stop, approximately one pound of suspected methamphetamine, a firearm, and cash were located inside the vehicle.
Through the course of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed at Mr. Copley's residence located on State Route 600, Greenville. A subsequent search of the property produced approximately one additional pound of suspected methamphetamine, cash, and items commonly used to package and distribute methamphetamine.
The Kentucky State Police arrested Mr. Copley and lodged him in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center on the following charges:
