Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested a London teenager early Wednesday morning March 4, 2015 at approximately 4:45 A.M..
Arrested was Charles Shores III age 19 of Thea Lane, London, KY.
The arrest was the result of the theft investigation conducted by Deputy Jackson regarding a theft reported on Hawk Creek Road, approximately 6 miles west of London on Tuesday night March 3, 2015 at approximately 8:35 P.M.. Apparently 2 ATV's were stolen from a residence on Hawk Creek Road.
Information was developed on a possible suspect and a possible location where the stolen property had been taken. Less than seven hours later, Deputy Jackson was able to recover both reported stolen ATVs on Ova Lane near Williamsburg, and a suspect was arrested.
Charles Shores III was charged with theft by unlawful taking more than $500 but less than $10,000. This subject told deputies that he took both ATVs and intended to keep them to ride.
This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
