Man with various outstanding warrants nabbed leaving Walmart without paying for shoes

 

 

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested a man being detained by Walmart's loss prevention team on Tuesday afternoon March 3, 2015 at approximately 3:40 P.M..

Arrested was Dennis Baldridge age 40 of Corn Creek Road, Rockhold, KY.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.

When Deputy Cloyd arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed putting on a new pair of shoes from the store and replacing the box with his old shoes and attempted to leave the store without paying for the shoes-value $26.37.

Dennis Baldridge was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting. In addition, this subject was charged on three Whitley County bench warrant of arrest for charges of possession of a controlled substance first-degree first offense; possession of a controlled substance second degree; possession of a controlled substance third degree; driving on DUI suspended license first offense; theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting; public intoxication controlled substances; and trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree offense.
