Subject that had allegedly been caught twice before at Walmart shoplifting charged again

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Larry Parrott along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Jason Goodman age 30 Of Clark Lane, Lily, KY on Sunday night March 8, 2015 at approximately 9:32 PM.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.

When deputies arrived, they learned that this subject had allegedly been observed concealing merchandise value over $199. Also, when Walmart's loss prevention team attempted to detain this subject, he created a disturbance in the store.

In addition, this subject appeared to be intoxicated and deputies conducted an investigation determining that he was under the influence – subject stated he had taken Xanax earlier.

This subject had allegedly been caught twice before at Walmart shoplifting and had been banned from returning to Walmart stores.

Jason Goodman was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting; public intoxication – controlled substances; criminal trespassing – third-degree; and disorderly conduct – second-degree and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
