Clay County, Kentucky - Carolyn, ClayCoNews makes all pertinent press releases for our area available to our readers as they come in, however it seems there's still a decades old political gridlock on our beloved Clay County.
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Congressman Hal Rogers, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and most of our surrounding counties (especially Laurel) are very prompt in getting the news to us, however, apparently the Clay County Sheriff's Office & the Manchester Police Department do not have PAO officers and only issue press releases to WYMT & our obsolete locally printed / halfway online newspaper ( you must pay for a subscription before reading the full article ).
ClayCoNews has requested press releases from these and other county agencies and schools many times - NO RESPONSE...When we do print news from their Facebook pages which is 100% public, they suddenly stop updating their pages or either all the Clay County news makers take a break (somehow, this just don't seem possible ).....
Perhaps concerned citizens such a yourself should contact the agencies, schools etc. in question & let them know you would appreciate getting the news in a more timely fashion such as ClayCoNews provides free of charge.
