Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root visited 2 classes of students at Wyan Pine Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon March 11, 2015.
Sheriff Root spoke with the students about his job as the Sheriff of Laurel County. He encouraged students to attend school regularly, study hard and to be good citizens.
Afterwards the students asked numerous questions about his profession.
The teacher's classes that he attended included: Mrs. Garcia, and Mrs. Likins -- approx. 20 students.
