Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Tommy Houston along with Sgt. Robbie Grimes arrested Eddie Gillam age 50 Delmas Gillham Road, London on Thursday night March 20, 2015 at approximately 8:30 P.M.
The arrest occurred after deputies responded to a complaint that a male subject was knocking on the door of a residence off Somerset Road, approximately 3 miles west of London and refusing to leave.
When deputies arrived in the vicinity of the complaint, they located this male subject and observed him to be very unsteady on his feet and having a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from him. Deputies conducted an investigation determining that this subject was under the influence.
Eddie Gillam was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – third offense; operating on suspended or revoked operator's license and failure of owner to maintain required insurance- first offense.
Constable Bobby Joe Smith assisted.
Eddie Gillam was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
