*UPDATE* Victim identified in Madison County KSP Death Investigation

(Richmond, KY) – The State Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy Friday morning on the body that was recovered in Madison County on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.

As a result of the autopsy, the victim was identified as Francisco J. Martinez-Castillo, 29 years old of Richmond.

Francisco J. Martinez-Castillo was last seen on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Richmond, KY and was reported missing to the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post on Saturday, March 21st. While the exact details about the victim’s death are still under investigation, it has been determined that his death does not appear to be accidental and KSP is handling the investigation as a homicide.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Jesse Armstrong. The Kentucky State Police is asking anyone that saw any suspicious activity in the area or has any information about Francisco’s death to call (859) 623-2404 or toll free at (800) 222-5555.

(Richmond, KY) – The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called just before 7:30 pm today, after a body was found in Silver Creek, near Curtis Pike in Madison County. Investigators from KSP Post 7, Madison County Coroner’s Office, and the Madison County Rescue Squad responded to the scene, and recovered an unidentified male from the creek. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Madison County Coroner, and the cause of death is currently under investigation.
