(LONDON, KY.) – Detectives from Post 11 are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains located on the bank of the Roundstone Creek in Rockcastle County. Post 11 Detectives were notified of the discovery on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 12:08 AM.
Preliminary investigation reveals the remains appeared to have been in that location for several years.
The remains will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to be examined by a forensic pathologist. Preliminary cause of death and identification of the deceased are expected later.
The investigation is continuing by KSP Detective John Barnett. He was assisted at the scene by Detective Ryan Loudermilk, Detective Brian Lewis, Trooper Lloyd Cochran, Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office and Livingston Police Department.
