KSP Charges Jefferson Co. Man With Distribution and Possession of Child Pornography

(Louisville, Ky.)— On April 29, 2015, at approximately 6:20 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 4 -Elizabethtown, arrested Gemini J. Wink, 41, on charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Wink was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. This included images and videos of prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Wink’s residence on April 29, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Wink is currently charged with possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. KSP Post 4 -Elizabethtown charged Wink with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Wink was lodged in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. A photograph is available on the detention center’s website.
