Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that shift commander Sgt. Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Brandon Broughton arrested Crystal Hatfield age 36 Cromwell Dr., Gray, Ky. on Saturday afternoon May 2, 2015 at approximately 4:03 P.M.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.
When deputies arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation they learned that this subject allegedly attempted to remove over $77 worth of items from the store without paying.
Crystal Hatfield was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for criminal possession of a forged instrument – third-degree.
Crystal Hatfield was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
