Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Tommy Houston arrested a Corbin man on Saturday night May 9, 2015 at approximately 9 P.M.
Arrested was Sammy Harrell age 41 of Jenny Lane, Corbin, KY.
The arrest occurred off US 25 W, approximately 10 miles south of London after Deputy Houston observed this subject, apparently intoxicated, attempting to get into the driver seat of a vehicle that was already occupied by a female subject.
Deputy Houston conducted an investigation and determined that this subject was under the influence. In addition, this subject gave a false name when identifying himself.
Sammy Harrell was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances and giving an officer of false name or address.
Sammy Harrell was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
