Police find two teens unresponsive due to consumption of alcohol - London, KY

 

 

London, Ky. - LPD is reporting that on Saturday May 16th, officers of the London Police Department received a complaint at West 10th Street Apartments of a 3 year old child who had possibly consumed an alcoholic beverage.

Upon arrival, the child's father was located in a different apartment while the child was being cared for by siblings and neighbors. The 3 year old was checked by EMS and was not under the influence of alcohol.

Further investigation revealed two more siblings ages 15 and 16 were found in a rear bedroom of the apartment unresponsive from the consumption of alcohol and were transported by ambulance to be treated for alcohol related illness.

Officers notified the Department of Child Based Services, and two children were placed with a responsible adult.

The two minors that were transported for treatment would also be placed with a responsible adult upon discharge from the hospital.

Billy Morgan age 61 of London was taken into custody and removed to the Laurel County Correction Facility and was charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and two counts of Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 3rd degree.
