Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that the past two days, May 27 through May 28, 2015, members of the Laurel County Sheriff's Office, London City Police Department, Williamsburg City Police Department, Whitley County Sheriff's Office, Federal Probation and Parole Office, and the US marshals Service conducted in person compliance checks of the 69 registered sex offenders listed on the state sex offender registry that live within Laurel County.
The effort, referred to as "Operation High Maintenance" was hosted by the Laurel County Sheriff's Office to verify compliance of offenders listed on the registry. Anyone wishing to check the sex offender registry can visit the following website http://kspsor.state.ky.us/
