Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with CSO Roy Ball and Constable Chris Webb arrested Michael wagers age 46 of Sasser Rd., London on Saturday night May 30, 2015 at approximately 11:50 P.M.
The arrest occurred off Sasser road, approximately 9 miles east of London after officers were dispatched to a complaint of a male and female subject fighting there.
When officers arrived at the scene they observed a female subject that had several scratches on her face and neck and who stated that Michael Wagers had struck her in the face causing a black eye. Also deputies learned that this subject had kicked in the front door of the residence and broken all the dishes in the kitchen.
This suspect was located next door at his mother's residence and when he observed officers approaching fled out the basement door and was found hiding in brush in the woods.
When officers located this subject he attempted to fight with officers there and following a short scuffle was taken into custody.
This subject was determined to be under the influence.
Michael Wagers was charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence; fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot; resisting arrest; alcohol intoxication; and criminal mischief – second-degree.
Michael Wagers was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
