Manchester, Ky. - MPD is reporting that on Friday, June 5, 2015 Manchester Police Officer Jimmy Smith conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that he observed driving in an unsafe and reckless manner.
While speaking to the driver Officer Smith detected an odor of alcohol and observed other actions that would indicate the driver could possibly be under the influence.
After sobriety tests were administered by Officer Jeff Senters it was determined that Daniel Boone Combs age 55 of Booneville, KY was under the influence of alcohol.
Combs was then arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs / alcohol 1st offense and careless driving.
Combs was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center at 11:08:36 P.M.
Chief Chris Fultz also assisted at the scene.
