Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Larry Parrott arrested Kenny Napier age 43 of Line Creek Rd., Lily on June 24, 2015 at approximately 6:38 P.M. The arrest occurred off Line Creek Road approximately 8 miles south of London after Deputy Parrott was dispatched to a complaint that a subject was firing a weapon and creating a disturbance there in the neighborhood.
When Deputy Parrott arrived at the scene he observed this subject attempting to pull out of the driveway in a 1982 Chevrolet Silverado truck. When this subject saw Deputy Parrott, he exited the truck and when told to stop, he ran into the residence there slamming the door.
When Deputy Parrott gained entry to the residence, he observed several shell casings on the floor there and following a brief struggle was able to take this subject into custody.
During the investigation, Deputy Parrott located a 45 caliber Hi Point pistol under the seat of the truck and determined that there were two live rounds still in the weapon and four spent 45 shell casings on the floor in the residence.
In addition, during investigation Deputy Parrott determined that this subject had allegedly fired his weapon out his front door towards a residence where there were small children and a woman.
This subject continued to create a disturbance following his arrest by cursing and continuing to try to fight with Deputy Parrott. Inside the police car, this subject banged his head into the protective screen and cursed all the way to jail.
This subject admitted to drinking all day.
Kenny Napier was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot; resisting arrest; wanton endangerment – first degree; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and numerous traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
