Man attempts to get girlfriend arrested by hurting himself - Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Tommy Houston arrested Christopher Mills age 34 of Bentley Rd., London on June 26, 2015 at approximately 8:27 P.M.

The arrest occurred off Bentley Road, approximately 8 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic violence complaint allegedly between this subject and his girlfriend.

When deputies arrived at the scene, this subject allegedly told deputies that his girlfriend had struck him in the face – deputies noted visible bruising.

However, as the investigation continued, deputies determined that this subject had apparently struck himself in the face in an attempt to get his girlfriend arrested.

In addition, deputies determined that this subject was under the influence of drugs. Christopher Mills was charged with assault – 4th degree – domestic violence and public intoxication – controlled substances and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
