Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested Eric Miracle age 33 of Kirkland Dr., Corbin early Saturday morning July 11, 2015 at approximately 3:27 AM.
The arrest occurred on Lynn Acres Road approximately 9 miles south of London after Deputy Jackson was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving this subject who had apparently traveled down a large embankment approximately 250 feet and striking a garage with his blue colored Chevrolet Cruze.
When Deputy Jackson arrived at the scene this subject was still in the driver's seat accelerating the car aggressively.
When Deputy Jackson approached this subject in his vehicle, this subject continued to accelerate even more. The front of the vehicle was stuck in the back of a garage.
Deputy Jackson attempted to have the driver exit the vehicle, however he refused and had to be physically removed from the car and physically escorted to the police cruiser.
This subject had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from him and was determined to be under the influence.
Eric Miracle was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense and resisting arrest and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
