Child identification and fingerprrinting at Back-to-School Bash

Laurel County, Ky. Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Gilbert Acciardo participated in a Back-to-School Bash at Union Station shopping area in southern Laurel County on Friday morning July 31, 2015.

Deputy Acciardo was present at HLT Check Exchange of Corbin to conduct child safety fingerprinting and provide information for child identification in the event that a child is either lost or missing – the information will assist law enforcement officers anywhere nationwide in locating children.

The annual event is conducted to provide school supplies for children for the beginning of the new school year.

In addition, businesses at Union Station also gave away door prizes, free food, and provided rides on horses, karaoke, and inflatables.
