(London, Ky.) – Officer from Kentucky State Police Vehicle Enforcement Region 4 London placed a special emphasis on traffic enforcement in Whitley, Laurel and Rockcastle Counties on I-75 for the week of Sunday July 26th thru Saturday August 1st 2015 in an effort to reduce traffic crashes and target aggressive driving.
Officers conducted 296 commercial vehicles safety inspections resulting in 24 unsafe commercial vehicles and 16 commercial vehicle drivers being taken out of service for unsafe operations.
Officers issued 275 citations to both commercial and passenger car traffic violators resulting in 7 arrest and 3 warrant services.
Accidents for these counties resulted 9 total with 5 in Laurel Co and 4 in Rockcastle and none in Whitley Co. Resulting in 0 fatalities.
