(Bledsoe, Ky.) On August 11, 2015 at 1:57 a.m. Trooper Brandon Burton, attempted to stop a 1996 Buick Regal for no registration plate on highway 221 in the Bledsoe community of Harlan County.
The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and Tpr. Burton initiated a pursuit.
The pursuit continued on highway 221 into Bell County. The operator then turned left on Ky 66 at which time trooper George Howard utilized the tire deflation device. The tire deflation device was deployed and three of the four tires were deflated.
The car was stopped a short distance later on U.S.25E and the operator was taken into custody.
Bryan Wells, 54, of Gordon was charged with several criminal and traffic charges. He also had active warrants for his arrest from Harlan County. Mr. Wells was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
