Robbery 2nd Degree arrests at Levi Jackson Park

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Kevin Berry along with Detective James Sizemore arrested three individuals and charged a juvenile regarding an alleged assault complaint that deputies were dispatched to at Levi Jackson State Park, 1 mile south of London on Friday afternoon August 14, 2015 at approximately 3 PM.

Apparently, investigators report that deputies responded to a complaint at Levi Jackson Park that a male subject had allegedly been assaulted and that suspects were fleeing the scene on foot.

When deputies arrived at the scene 4 persons were questioned and then taken into custody.

Investigators learned that apparently two of the adult male suspects and a 17-year-old female juvenile arranged to meet a male subject at a bathroom at Levi Jackson Park allegedly to bring narcotics to the female juvenile.

When the male subject arrived with the drugs and met with the female juvenile, the other two adult male subjects ambushed him allegedly assaulting him and taking the drugs. Afterwards, the two adult male suspects and the juvenile female fled the scene and all four subjects were located by deputies and taken into custody.

Arrested was:

Aaron Thacker age 19 of Standard Ave., Corbin charged with robbery – second-degree.

Patrick Fruen age 23 of North Laurel Road, London Charged with robbery – second-degree.

A 17-year-old juvenile female from London charged with robbery – second-degree.

Also charged was the male subject who was delivering drugs to meet the female juvenile – Jeffrey Sizemore age 45 of Moore Valentine Road, Lily charged with unlawful transaction with a minor – third-degree.

All three of adults were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. The 17-year-old female juvenile was released to her mother and assigned a court date.

Assisting on the complaint was: Deputy Shawn Boroviak, Deputy Travis Napier, Deputy Rick Cloyd, Lieut. Greg Poynter, Sgt. Robbie Grimes, Cpl. Jack Caudill, and Bailiff Brad Mink.

Also assisting was a Levi Jackson State Park Ranger and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
