GLASGOW, KY (June 28, 2025) – Just before 11:00 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Post 3 received a call from the Barren County Sheriff's Office requesting assistance with a fatal collision. Troopers arrived at the scene on Burkesville Road (KY 90) near Green Valley Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2017 Dodge was traveling eastbound on KY 90 in the left lane when it collided with Ricky Parsons, 59, of Glasgow, who was standing in the middle of the roadway. Mr. Parsons was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner.
The investigation is ongoing and will be led by Detective Bo Hubbard. He was assisted at the scene by the Barren County Sheriff's Office, Barren County EMS, the Barren County Coroner's Office, and other KSP personnel.
