Assault and Disorderly Arrests - Hanes Baker Road in Laurel County

Laurel County, Kentucky - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt Larry Parrott along with Deputy Shawn Jackson arrested two individuals early Tuesday morning August 18, 2015 at approximately 12:42 AM.

The arrests occurred off Hanes Baker Road, approximately 10 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a domestic dispute where allegedly an assault had occurred.

When deputies arrived at the scene, the male suspect came charging out the front door of the residence toward deputies and following a short scuffle, this suspect was taken into custody.

Arrested was:

Adam Carnes age 30 Hanes Baker Rd., Corbin charged with assault – fourth degree – domestic violence; disorderly conduct – second-degree; resisting arrest; terroristic threatening – third-degree; alcohol intoxication; and menacing. While en route to the jail from the scene this subject banged his head on the front protective screen & side protective bars threatening deputies that he would beat them up and kill them when he got out of jail. Also arrested was the father of the female victim of the earlier assault. This subject came outside and attempted to interfere with the investigation and the arrest of Adam Carnes. This subject presented himself in a threatening manner toward deputies, and had to be physically restrained as he yelled and created a disturbance in the neighborhood.

Timothy Scalf age 48 of Hanes Baker Rd., Corbin charged with him obstructing governmental operations; disorderly conduct – second-degree; resisting arrest; and menacing.

Both individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
