Injury collision in Bell County

Fourmile, KY -  On September 2, 2015, at 11:01 p.m., Kentucky State Police Trooper George Howard observed a 2005 Nissan traveling on U.S.25E driving side to side and changing lanes in the Four-Mile community of Bell County. While observing the vehicle driving, Tpr. Howard ran the registration plates which showed expired.

The operator of the vehicle, Dustin Thompson, 30, of Knoxville, TN, sped off at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle turned off U.S.25E onto Turkey Creek Rd. Tpr. Howard continued in the direction of the vehicle, and when he located the vehicle, found that it had lost control and struck an earth embankment.

Tpr. Howard located the driver and two female passengers inside of the vehicle and immediately contacted Post 10 for medical treatment.

All three individuals were flown out and are listed in critical condition. Alcohol use is suspected.

The driver of the vehicle, Dustin Thompson, was wanted in TN for a parole violation for robbery.

The collision is under investigation by Tpr. Russell Maynad and was assisted at the scene by Accident Reconstructionist Tpr. Kenny Sergent.
