Complaint of a male subject passed out under the wheel of a car in Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Shawn Boroviak arrested Kenneth Simpson age 52 of West Laurel Rd., London on Thursday morning September 3, 2015 at approximately 9:18 AM.

The arrest occurred after Deputy Boroviak investigated a complaint of a male subject passed out under the wheel of a red colored Oldsmobile Alero on Sinking Creek Road, approximately 5 miles west of London.

When Deputy Boroviak arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he observed this male subject passed out under the wheel, ignition key switch on and the vehicle in reverse gear.

Several attempts were made to awaken this individual however Deputy Boroviak had to open the car door to get the driver to awaken.

This subject had the odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from his person.

Deputy Boroviak conducted an investigation determining that this subject was under the influence.

Kenneth Simpson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; Failure to wear seatbelts; no operator's license; failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense; and other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
