Fatal Traffic Crash / Rockcastle County

(LONDON, KY.) – On Tuesday, September 08, 2015 at approximately 9:09 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash on southbound I-75 near the 64 mile marker in Rockcastle County.

Upon arrival Trooper Brian Maupin determined that a 1995 Toyota 4-Runner, operated by Kevin W. Savage, 33, of London, was traveling southbound on I-75 when he lost control of his vehicle, struck the cable barrier and overturned at least once.

Savage the only occupant of the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rockcastle County Coroners Office.

Trooper Maupin is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Adam Hensley, Mount Vernon Police Department, Mount Vernon Fire Department and Rockcastle County EMS.
