KSP Charges Pulaski Co. Men With Possession and Distribution of Child Pornography

(Somerset, Ky.)— On Sept. 17, 2015, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post11-London, arrested two Pulaski County men on charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.


Anthony R. Patterson, 28, and Jimmy L. Hammons, 54, were arrested as the result of separate and unrelated undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigations. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspects sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images included prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of search warrants at Patterson’s and Hammons’ residences on Sept. 17, 2015. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Patterson is currently charged with 20 counts of possession and two counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Hammons is currently charged with 20 counts of possession and five counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Hammons was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

All charges are Class D Felonies, with each count punishable by one to five years in prison.
