Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Steven Messer, age 36, of Robinson Creek Rd., Corbin, early Sunday morning, September 27, 2015, at approximately 7 AM.
The arrest occurred at Corbin Manor Apartments, approximately 9 miles south of London after Sgt. Reeves arrested this subject on an outstanding bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court.
During the arrest, Sgt. Reeves found this subject in possession of two EBT cards and learned that one was his, but the other in his possession belonged to his ex-girlfriend.
Steven Messer was charged with knowingly fraudulently using ID card or electronic code for benefits.
This subject was also charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court.
This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
