Woman involved in DUI crash arrested after leaving the scene - Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Sgt. Brett Reeves arrested Kimberly Bowling, age 56, of W. 5th St., Corbin early Tuesday morning, October 6, 2015, at approximately 8:55 AM.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by Sgt. Reeves after he was dispatched to a two vehicle traffic crash on KY 1223 near Corbin.

While enroute to investigate that traffic crash, he learned that a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo involved in the crash had fled the scene.

Through assistance from Corbin police officer Wade Mitchell, the suspect vehicle was located in the vicinity and an investigation was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence.

Kimberly Bowling was charged with operating a motor vehicle with expired operators license; leaving the scene of an accident; and operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense.

This subject was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
