Knox County Sheriff's Office - Complaint of a Meth Lab

Knox County, KY - Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting that on October 9, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford received a complaint of a meth lab at a residence on Garrison Lane in Gray.

While at the residence, Deputy Liford located burnt aluminum foil strips containing methamphetamine, used coffee filters containing residue, and other ingredients used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Deputy Liford arrested Michael Smith age 48 of Gray, KY and Tonya Mills age 41 of Gray, KY charging them with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

In addition, Michael Smith was charged with Prescription Controlled Substance not in Original Container. Michael Smith was also wanted on a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to appear on Theft by Deception charges.

Both were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
