(Barbourville, Ky.) – On Saturday October 17, 2015 Kentucky State Police, Post 10 was notified about a body located in a river off Ky South 11 in the Barbourville community of Knox County. Detective Jake Wilson began an investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Tommy Reeves, 61, of Barbourville left his residence on October 4, 2015 on foot. On October 14, 2015 Mr. Reeves was reported missing to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department by his girlfriend. The Sheriff’s Department had been working the missing person report.
The body of Mr. Reeves was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy. Preliminary results indicate Mr. Reeves didn’t have any trauma to the body and died from cardio vascular problems.
Case is still under investigation by Det. Jake Wilson.
