Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Milton Storm arrested Steven Davidson age 19 of North Hwy. 66, Oneida, KY on Saturday evening October 17, 2015 at approximately 6:15 PM.
The arrest occurred after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County. When Deputy Storm arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed removing a pair of boots from its box, removed the price tags, put the old boots in the box and placed it on the shelf, and then wore the new boots out of the store without paying for them-value more than $64.Steven Davidson was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking – Shoplifting.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Clay County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of Theft by Unlawful Taking – Shoplifting.
Steven Davidson was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
