Man arrested in Laurel County on multiple charges including Escape

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Kyle Gray along with Deputy Brandon Broughton, Deputy Travis Napier, Detective Jason Back, and Detective James Sizemore arrested William Whittle age 43 of Corbin, on Wednesday night, November 25, 2015 at approximately 8:10 PM.

The arrest occurred off Dog Patch Road in London. This subject was arrested on a parole violation warrant after having been convicted in Laurel Circuit Court of manufacturing methamphetamine – first offense.

This subject was charged with absconding parole supervision, failure to cooperate with parole officer, and failure to report to parole officer as directed. In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging escape – second-degree and theft by unlawful taking – this subject allegedly escaped from home incarceration while serving 180 days of a 360 day sentence.

Also this subject was charged on a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging unauthorized use of a motor vehicle – first offense and also charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court for a motion to revoke for positive drug test.

William Whittle was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
